Lord Dom aims to be the master of the universe. Oh, wait, that’s Lord Voldemort. Lord Dom is an artist, writer and eccentric character. Mostly graphic in style and street inspired, his work is irreverant and unexpected, putting a child-like enthusiasm into everyday objects and experiences.

Lord Dom uses mixed media, sculpture, small scale installations, drawings and words to create an ecclectic mix of storytelling. Objects of kitsch and toys from the 1970s feature heavily in his quest to reclaim his ideal childhood – featuring comics, toys and fizzy drink.
On this site you’ll see the thoughts and musings of Lord Dom as they come into his mind. Enjoy, interact, ask and experience. LD.

When you’ve had a look around, you’ll notice there are many topics that come up all the time. But do you want to know why? Here’s summary of what brought me to each of these topics.

My father was a music and film critic for Rolling Stone in London in the swinging 60s. He brought us up with a house full of music, and what he liked – and did not. These days I’m the same.

Graphic art, illustration, cartoons and moments in history. My first career was as a graphic designer and it remains my first love, but I’m keen to explore the unexplored, particularly from the mid century period.

By this, I mean Pop Culture. Specifically things from the 70s and 80s. Often kitsch, always memorable and very much attributed to my childhood.
